Vee's Notecard Party - Sept.

Welcome to my 'notecards' for Vee's Notecard Party.  On the third Wednesday of each month Vee hosts a meme where you select four photographs from your blog that are notecard worthy.
 
Since it is almost the first day of autumn, I have selected a series of photos that were taken in Vermont a few years ago.  This first photo was near The Four Chimneys Inn in Bennington, Vermont.  A charming historic bed and breakfast built in 1783.


The Snicket trail (an English word for narrow, winding path) is a lovely walk through mature forests that were farm fields a century ago.  As you stroll along the path you will see stonewalls evidence of a time when the land was cleared for farming.


A beautiful trickling stream with an array of colorful leaves.


Dappled afternoon sunlight through a canopy of trees.

    Just lovely! It can be such a beautiful time of year - I'd really enjoy a walk in those woods - it looks so serene and peaceful :)

    Sure glad you were able to pick 4 Donna, because I am not sure I could choose a favorite amongst them.
    Hmmmm, I'm thinking the first one has a slight edge! :-)

    These are lovely scenes for notecards and give me a peaceful feeling. Love the birch trees and the fall colors. Reminds me of my childhood in Massachusetts. xx

    My favorite is the sunlight through the trees. One shot I like to take myself. I just watched California Trees on PBS last night and trees are just mystical magical things. I would love to receive like any of these. Thanks for dropping by.
