Old Fashioned Lilacs


The kitchen is filled with the sweet scent of lilacs.

 
I couldn't resist putting them in a silver coffee pot.


Their blossoms so dreamy.

 
Lilacs always remind me of my dear grandmother.


Their reflection makes me smile  :-)
 
It was a busy day yesterday planting annuals and filling pots.  A nice steady rain today will give them a good start.

    The lilacs you have there are so pretty..of tender lilac color. I do love its scent too - reminds me of my old aunts days...

    I am loving all the lilacs I am seeing in blogland....I am thinking that I have to plant one at the new house. Putting that in the back of my mind. I love the scent and the delicate nature of lilacs. Yours look so pretty in that coffee pot. Nice touch.

    Beautiful! I love the look of the lilacs in the teapot. My lilacs are all spent now. I miss them! They remind me of my grandmother too.
