Springtime Garden Tour

It seems as though everything is moving so quickly in the garden.  Is there anything more delightful than the scent of blossoms on a sparkling spring day?  It is amazing the transition that has taken place within the last few weeks.

Please join me for a leisurely stroll ...

The pink Magnolias are in full bloom resembling tulips.

Delicate pink hearts dangle from arching branches.

Lily-of-the-Valley pips making their way in the foreground.

Ferns brighten the shade garden.

A whiff of some old fashioned lilacs.

The sweet scent of Fothergilla major 'Mt. Airy'

Bottlebrush blooms smell like honey.

Double pink flowers cover the Flowering Almond shrub.

The Cleveland Pear covered in snowy white blossoms.  This tree has such a nice pyramidal form.

Tender blossoms of a Purple Leaf Sand Cherry.

A lazy bunny enjoying the Forget-me-nots.

Spring is in the air!  There is so much to enjoy as the gardens come alive.

Thank you for taking a stroll with me.

  9. Your garden is beautiful, Donna. I love your gazebo, your magnolias, the sand cherry, and your bleeding hearts. I was interested to see your bottle brush plant - they don't grow in our area, but I saw red ones when we visited Texas.

  20. Hurray! Finally, everything is blooming! With temperatures in the 40's just a week ago, and some even having snow, who would have guessed that we are now in the 80's! My lilac bushes are just lush with flowers as well as the flowering crab trees. So thankful!!

  23. Beautiful spring flowers! I love them all! I can't get enough of magnolias at the moment, have just purchased two magnolias for my garden, my very first ones. I have to wait until next year to see any flowers though, but I am kind of hooked on everything magnolia :-)
    Happy GBBD!
