Always Grateful

Hello blogging friends,

I hope you had a blessed Thursday.  Today I have a Thanksgiving card to share with you.  I can't believe it will be here next week!  I'm actually looking forward to eating some turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce and all the other fixings.  I'm also taking a few days off to relax and craft  :-)

The pretty autumn leaves were stamped in More Mustard, Really Rust and Ruby Red onto a piece of Shimmery White paper cut from a Spellbinders Labels Twenty-Eight die.  It was then adhered to a Decorative Labels Twenty-Eight.  The splatters were randomly stamped in Crumb Cake on a piece of beige paper.

Grateful was stamped in StazOn Timber Brown with the edges sponged in Chocolate Chip.  It fit perfectly on the Whimsy Stamps Notables 3 die.  The bow is crinkled seam binding with a heirloom button in the center.

The inside sentiment by PSX was stamped in StazOn Timber Brown and I added a few more leaves.  I treasure my PSX stamps and from time to time I find them on eBay.

Thank you for stopping to visit and I will see you again real soon.

A Cali Fairy

Hi everyone,

Time has slipped away from me and I'm just realizing it has been a while since I posted.  I've been missing blog land lately.  Today I want to share with you some tags I made using the Spellbinders Fairy Cali die.  I just love this die and how intricate her wings are.  I also purchased the Ariana fairy too :-)

The tags were created using beautiful Jardin papers by Microferk Designs in gorgeous hues of purple & pink with a hint of pale yellow.  After die cutting the fairy, I colored her hair and dress with Prismacolor pencils.  I love Shimmerz Paint and couldn't resist adorning her wings with it.  I then added some Star Dust glitter.  She was popped up with dimensions on the tag.

Each cherry blossom petal was die cut with Shimmery White paper and sponged with coordinating pink and purple inks.  I used a mister to spritz some water on the petals before crumpling them, then unfolded each one and let them air dry.  I glued a smaller petal on top of a bigger one then pierced the center of each so I could add a few pearl flower stamens.  May Arts pink wrinkled ribbon finish off each tag.

It's not even winter yet and I'm already thinking about spring ... LOL!  Actually, I have some Thanksgiving projects to assemble and then I will show you what I have been working on for Christmas.  See you soon!
