Hello there,
Yes, I have been going a little crazy lately with my DIY projects. It keeps me out of trouble ... LOL! Today I have some pretty rosebud bath salts to share with you. Aren't the vials just gorgeous?
Ingredients:
- 4 large glass vials
- Epsom salt
- Dead sea salt
- Dried rosebuds
- Tub tea filters
- Rose essential oil (optional)
In a small mixing bowl, combine Epsom salt and dead sea salt. Stir mixture then add 4-6 drops of rose essential oil. Toss in some dried rosebuds and gently mix. Spoon the mixture into the glass vials and cork them.
"Do not watch the petals fall from the rose with sadness; know that, like life, things sometimes must fade, before they can bloom again."

To decorate my vials, I wrapped a piece of hand-dyed lace around each one and used hot glue to adhere it. I then created a triple loop bow from May Arts silk ribbon and glued 3 rosebuds in the center and hot glued it to the lace. Just creating these made me want to jump into the tub for a soak!
I then created a tag using rose background paper and glued it to a metal-rimmed tag. A hole was punched in the tag and then I pinned it to the bag using a Tim Holtz Idea-ology metal trinket pin. If you look closely you will see fragile stamped into the pin.
This rosebud bath soak makes a wonderful gift and is an absolute dream to help you unwind after a long day. I love the smell of roses - who doesn't?
