A Valentine Rose

Hello friends,

I have a card to share with you today.  This was made for a special gal, who after battling cancer, is now paying it forward by helping to build the spirits of other cancer patients.  I think she deserves a medal!

The roses were stamped in Pretty in Pink & Regal Rose, then cut out.  I used an aqua painter on the lighter areas.  Star Dust Stickles were added to both the rose and bud for a little shimmer.  The leaves were done in Mellow Moss & Old Olive.

Pure sweetness ...

A bow was created using 1/2" Pink Pirouette seam binding.  I thought a silver glittered heart would look elegant in the center.

A peek inside ...

Happy Valentine's Day to you!

Wishing you quiet moments with the one you love ...

Thanks for stopping by!

Our Little Pippin

Hello my friends,

Anyone who knows me knows how much I love cats.  After losing our precious Cheops life hasn't been the same.  So I have been keeping a secret!

We now have a new member of the family, a fawn Ocicat.  He is just the most adorable, handsome kitty!  After going back and forth with names we finally decided on 'Pippin'.  If you are not familiar with the breed it is a cross between a Siamese and an Abyssinian and looks like it stepped right out of the wild!

The rarest and most exotic colors in Ocicats are the 'champagne' colors (blue, fawn, lavender, blue silver, fawn silver and lavender silver).  Pippin's coat is fawn spotted on a pale ivory agouti ground.  His cute nose and paw pads are pink.

Below are pics from his first photo shoot.

He still had his baby fur in these pictures.  As he matures his spots will be more pronounced.

All paused, and posed ...

Pippin celebrating his 4 month old birthday!  He is growing up quickly and is so full of energy.  He is involved in everything I do.

After a day of running around and playing fetch he is tired ... zzzzz

For now, Pippin is not allowed in my craft room.  There are way too many shiny objects, rolls of ribbon and trinkets.

Remember, no one owns an Ocicat they own you!
