Hi everyone,
I have something a little different to share with you today. A friend asked me if I could make him some memorial bookmarks. After taking a peek at the sample he had, I thought "sure, why not give it a try." Well, I am very pleased with how they turned out.
I created a template, inserted the photo, and typed the obituary on the front. I kept playing around with the fonts until I was satisfied (I'm kind of crazy like that!)
On the back are the dates with a verse. I added a few white butterflies.
Since I don't have a laminating machine I took a drive over to our local office supply store to have them done. It only took 4 laminating pouches to do all 12 bookmarks. Now they will be protected and always look brand new. What a great way to honor a loved one and cherish the precious memories you once shared!
I packaged them in a pretty glassine bag, which was embossed using a damask embossing folder.
I'm so happy I could help out a co-worker and try something new for a change. He liked them so much he even sent me flowers :-)
Thanks for stopping by!

What a nice project. I just did some funeral programs for my grandmother this past week. It was nice creating something that I know she would really love.

Wonderfully done Donna.
Those came out beautiful. I've never seen this done before- love the idea.
You did a wonderful job with these. And I love the idea of keeping a loved one close by with a bookmark - the photo and info about her life. Lovely!
