A Birthday Wish

Hello there,

I have a birthday card to share with you that I made a few weeks ago.  I pulled out some masculine cardstock and wanted to use a piece of vintage maps paper for a nautical theme.

The cute spiral notebook paper was created using the Lil' Inker Designs die with coordinating stamp.  The lines were stamped in Going Gray ink.  I found a mini library clip to accent the top.

A closer look at the spiral paper.

The compass was stamped in Early Espresso on a Spellbinders Small Circle, layered onto an Early Espresso large circle and popped up.  Jute twine was wrapped around the compass with the edges glued down.

Over the past couple of weeks I have been doing so much crafting.  As the leaves start to turn I'm getting excited for autumn to arrive.

Today I am joining ...

So glad you shared your brother's birthday card with us, Donna. The antique map background is the perfect backdrop for the notepaper you created with the die and coordinating stamp. The embellishments you chose add so much to this great masculine card!

I always admire your cards Donna, the tools, techniques, papers and things you use to create them are absolutely unknown to me so I have no clue what they involve – I make cards on my computer and print them out - but I enjoy the result of yours!
