Are you getting ready for the holiday? Is your shopping done and presents wrapped? I've been busy creating some beautiful snow globes and ornaments from bottle brush trees. You've probably seen these all over the Internet - it is not a new idea, but they are fun to make.
I ordered the bottle brush trees from Factory Direct Crafts. They arrived in no time at all. The mason jars I had. The trees were glued to the Mason jar lids then I added a couple scoops of fluffy snow. Tinsel trim and seam binding were wrapped around the lids to finish them off. It was as simple as that. I think I like the galvanized lids better than the shiny silver ones.
For my next project, I took a vintage Jell-O mold and glued three pink trees inside on top of the ridges using hot glue. Snow was adhered all around the bottom to cover the wooden stems. Using a drill I made a small hole in the top of the mold and added my ribbon for hanging. I then decided to add a silver star above the trees and accent the piece with tinsel trim.
The last project also uses a Jell-O mold. I cut a piece of Styrofoam to fit the inside of the mold and hot glued the trees on top. Snow was adhered all around the bottom. I then glued a piece of Stampin' Up Venetian crochet lace around the top of the mold. A bow was made and accented with a clay rose. I used Pink Pirouette ink to color the clay and then spritzed it with Sheer Shimmer Frost. This will make a cute accent piece on an end table.
Since I had an extra clay rose I decided to decorate a glass jelly jar to make a tea light holder. I love the Shabby Chic design with the vintage seam binding.

These are all so cute! I was looking for some of the real tiny bottle brush trees. I'll have to check out your source.
Donna, you must have had so much fun creating these beautiful Christmas decorations! I especially like the last one embellished with the Pink Pirouette clay rose spritzed with shimmer paint!

I am in love with bottle brush trees and love the way you have used them here. I will have to pin this post so that I don't forget. I have a few little molds waiting to be used and this is a great way to use them.
