A Cozy Tea ...

It's been a long time since I have shared tea with you ... way too long.

This dainty teacup was my choice for today with it's pretty bouquet of pink roses.

I'll be sipping my favorite organic white rose tea.

I've already decorated for Valentine's Day and will share that with you another day.

My love for mercury glass continues ...

A dreamy heart jeweled holder with a rose candle is perfect for tea day.

I'm hoping 2017 will allow us to have more time together for tea and crafting.

Happy Tea Day!

Vintage Richelieu

Hello everyone,

I can never resist a pretty piece of china!  Anything pink or purple always catches my eye and I love to mix and match them for a unique tablescape.

Today I am sharing with you a Royal Doulton Richelieu plate from England.  The pattern is H4957. What makes this piece so special are the hand painted daisies with a soft lavender background.  I also love the elegant gold scrolls and leaves.

It has such a pretty backstamp.

I've paired it with a vintage lusterware teacup and saucer from Japan.  Another wonderful find with a footed base!

The kettle is on and I will be sipping an enchanted white rose blend.

I always look forward to tea time and trying different teas, but somehow I tend to keep going back to my favorite white rose.

Perfect for a spot of tea on a cold day.

With all the snow we have received I find myself dreaming about springtime.

Thank you for enjoying a cuppa tea with me  :-)

First Blooms ...

How exciting it was the other day to see the crocus blooms open.

After all the snow and frigid temperatures we had this winter it was a pure joy.

What better way to enjoy them than with a cup of tea!

Today I am sipping chamomile - a light flora smell with a subtle hint of apples.

Royal Albert Prairie Crocus is perfect for a spring day.

This particular teacup is part of a special collection.

A little texturizing using the 'Tableaux' by French Kiss.

Just a whisper of what's to come ...

Thanks for spending some time with me.  I always enjoy  your company  :-)

How do I love thee?

Hi Ladies,

It's time for tea!  I thought I would share some poetry with you today.  I have always had a fondness for the English poet Elizabeth Barrett Browning.  Her famous line, "How do I love thee?  Let me count the ways," from her poetry collection, Sonnets from the Portuguese was first published in 1850.

Tea is being served in an American Beauty teacup.  Soon I will do a tablescape with my collection.

Bottoms up!

A vintage bowl from the Federal Glass Company makes a perfect candle holder.

Pressed glass featuring 12 points.  Pattern #2833 ~ designed in 1954.

Dried rose petals from the garden ... I collect them all summer long.

With Valentine's Day around the corner have you been enjoying any poetry?

A Sonnet ~ fourteen lines, each line containing ten syllables.

Thank you for having tea with me today.  Don't forget to stop back to view my Valentine's Day cards and I will also be announcing on Saturday the winner of my Grow Your Blog giveaway.

Tea & Shortbreads

Welcome friends for tea.  As the snow starts to head our way, I've put the kettle on for an impromptu tea.  So please pull up a chair and let's enjoy a spot of tea!

Today I am sharing some pretties from Bavaria.

Pink roses, embossing, and gold accents are so Shabby chic.

What could be better than afternoon tea ... with shortbread cookies!

My favorite monogrammed teaspoon.  The pattern is Signature by International Silver #1950.

Swooning over pink roses ...

A pleasant reminder of spring days ahead.

Mercury glass is the perfect accent for these preserved blooms.

A candle burns to warm up a winter's day.

Thank you for stopping by and for sipping tea with me.

Softness of Pink

Once again it is time for tea. Please join me as I have a few new things to share with you.

A vintage teacup and saucer marked Made in Japan.  Blue luster glaze on porcelain decorated with gold trim and pink roses.

This was a wonderful find for a mere 50 cents  :-)

Paper crafting continues in my house - actually when does it ever really stop ... lol!

These adorable tea bag holders were created using a digital download by Vectoria Designs

I added bows, pearls and cute little spoons for some pizazz.  What do you think?

My hydrangea bush bloomed her heart out for me!  'Endless Summer' has done very well in my garden.

A beautiful soft pink color with touches of blue.  A color dictated by the pH levels of my soil.

Thank you for sipping tea with me.
