Jingle Bells Reindeer

Hi everyone,

I hope all my American friends had a wonderful Thanksgiving with family and loved ones.  I have so much to be thankful for including my followers who have showed their loyalty and support.  After taking a few days off from work and blogging I was able to get my house cleaned, do some shopping and stamping.

I think this is one of my favorite Christmas cards so far this year.  I pulled out a Sizzix reindeer die and ran it through the Big Shot using grungeboard (I just love this stuff).  I painted the reindeer with Adirondack Gold Acrylic Paint then distressed the edges with a sanding block and sponged Distress Vintage Photo.  A little bow was created from 1/8" burgundy silk ribbon with a jingle bell hung from linen thread.  His eye is a Kaiser black pearl and, of course, we needed a red rhinestone for the nose.

The gorgeous background paper is Father Christmas by BoBunny.  It is adhered to a cocoa card.  The sentiment was stamped on Kraft paper using VersaMark then Early Espresso ink and embossed with clear embossing powder.

On a piece of Kraft paper the inside sentiment was stamped in Early Espresso and embossed with clear embossing powder.  A few snowflakes from Stampers Anonymous were embossed in gold.

I hope my card today puts you in the holiday spirit!  I will be joining Make It Monday and Stampin' for the Weekend.  I'll see you on Tuesday for tea  :-)

Your Christmas card is fantastic! You put a lot of time and work into it, and it shows. I made some cards too. I made some with snowmen but found them to be too labor intensive, so revised my design. I made maybe 10 cards so far. I'll fill in with store-bought.
You asked if I had tried Harney's cranberry autumn tea and yes, I have. I like it too. I really like a lot of Harney and Sons teas as well as David's tea. A couple of bloggers have been raving about Celestial Seasonings Candy Cane Lane so I'm wanting to try it. I searched 7 stores and still have not found it. I decided to order it online. I do have and like Trader Joe's Candy Cane tea and it'll be interesting to see if the Candy Cane Lane is any better. My goodness, though, when two persons say they buy multiple boxes of it since it's only available this time of year, makes me think it must be fantastic. My best to you, Beth

Donna, your reindeer card is lovely, that background paper with the grunge board deer is perfect together. What I really like is how you finish off the inside of the card as beautifully as you do the outside. Glad you were able to decorate and clean, this is my favorite holiday.
