Paris for Rita

Happy Valentine's Day!  Paris, the city of love is the theme for my card.  I made this for my best friend Rita.  She is just so sweet I couldn't let St. Valentine's Day go by without sending her a card.

The card base is natural white linen layered with beige.  The pretty rose paper is Shabby Backgrounds by Iralamijashop.  I added a piece of 5/8" edged lace to the bottom.  Hearts were cut using Spellbinders Classic Hearts & Classic Scalloped Hearts.  

The Eiffel Tower was stamped in Brilliance Pearlescent Chocolate followed by Paris in Distress Victorian Velvet.  The hearts were layered together and popped up over a 4" doily.  I did a little sponging on the doily with Brilliance Pearlescent Beige.

A triple loop bow was created from crinkled seam binding with a piece of sparkle string.  A blush rose graces the center.

 

Happy Valentine's Day was stamped in Brilliance Pearlescent Chocolate with a key accenting the bottom corner stamped in Distress Victorian Velvet.

I'm happy to say Rita received the card and is displaying it for the occasion.  We received 2 feet of snow from the storm last night.  It looks so pretty!  Cheops is by the fire and I have a pot of beef stew cooking.
