I thought it would be a perfect time to have tea in the garden so I am linking today with Bernideen for Tea in the Garden on Saturday. It is a beautiful day with a slight breeze. My weigela "Java Red" is blooming profusely in light pink flowers with crimson throats. This shrub makes a perfect backdrop for my stone garden bench.
A garden path awaits your arrival with a friendly cat statue. Once you reach the top, please do step on the thyme I have planted in front of the bench. This perennial is meant to be underfoot and has a wonderful fragrance.
This plant seems to really love this spot and has blended well with my creeping phlox. I allow it to spread and generally flaunt itself when in bloom.
Did you notice the adorable cat looking down at the pretty geraniums? Go ahead and pet him - he would love the attention!
A cup of relaxing honey vanilla tea is being served today in my Lenox Accoutrements set. Designer Anna Griffin's passion for English garden florals is reflected in this elegant cup and saucer with an antiqued rim. Lush flowers in varying shades of pink and cream are in bloom against the cup's ivory body.
I have picked a David Austin rose for you with gypsophila from my garden.
This is the right side of my gazebo. Soon my peonies will be in bloom!

Hi Donna
So nice to have tea with you in your garden; the stepping stones are adorable. I'm staying with family so couldn't join the tea party myself but it's fun to visit others.
You've linked with lots of tea parties!

I have been working on all my gardening files and saw several articles about David Austen Roses I had saved for years. I don't have any but wouldn't that be fun! I especially want to go back and read the articles about historic old cemetary roses, etc. Yours is so lovely and your garden a delight! Thanks!
Oh my what a gorgeous garden. I'd spend my summer days there just relaxing. The kitty is so sweet...Beautiful... Thanks for sharing...
Definitely a Southern Living garden, Donna! Absolutely gorgeous! I love all the stone accent pieces too!

Oh Donna, that is the kind of setting that would make me feel like I was on vacation....you are gifted to be able to keep up with so many flowers, and bushes. Trust me I am envious, I can't grow anything...after years of trying I finally gave up. It is a pleasure to enjoy yours through pictures.
Donna, you have such a lovely garden setting for tea! Your tea set is beautiful, I love all those roses. Anna Griffin does design beautifully. Your David Austen rose is very pretty too!
Hugs,
Terri
