Tea in the Garden

On this wonderful sunny day I have prepared tea on the patio and hope you will join me.  The warmer weather draws me outdoors to enjoy the beauty of nature.  I am linking with Bernideen for Tea in the Garden on Saturday and with a few other friends.

(click photos to enlarge)

Today I am using Royal Albert Lavender Rose china, which I just love with the Montrose shaped handle.  It is so elegant with the small pink roses and gold trim.

The teapot is Skye McGhie in the "Cream Lace" pattern.

A cranberry glass pitcher is our creamer for today since it goes so well with the Lavender Rose.  Did you know antique cranberry glass dates back much farther than the Victorian era.

Our centerpiece is a potted Martha Washington geranium (Pelargonium).  These eye catching blooms are bi-color pink and sit above light green, pleated leaves.  I adore the Fleur-de-lis design on this cream pot.

While sipping tea we can relax and browse our Gardener magazine for some fresh new ideas.

Would you like me to light our jar candle?  This cherry blossom candle with notes of bergamot and sandalwood is highly fragrant and will scent the air for us.

Thank you for joining me for tea in the garden.  I am also linking with the following ladies:

Hi Donna
I really like the lavender rose pattern but only have the teapot and matching pieces of complimentary colours with it is what I like to do too. The cover of the magazine is awesome, I've never seen this publication either.
It's always nice to join you for tea.

Wow I LOVE your blog! It's stunning (I haven't had the time to truly check it out before). The layout is so pretty and you have some gorgeous pictures. Makes me wish for more flowers on my balcony!
And the cards you've made (older posts) are very pretty.

What can be nicer than tea in a garden. Well, maybe having one of your ocicats on my knee would take it up a notch but really, your photos are lovely. New follower here. Drop by for a give-away. Deb=^..^=x4 Ontario Canada

Hi Donna,
Ah, tea in the garden. What a lovely tea! I love Lavender Rose, Skye McGhie, and cranberry glass. In fact, I have every piece you have shared today; the teacup, the teapot, and that same cranberry creamer! And they look beautiful together, don't they? I actually did a tea post a few weeks ago using all of these same tea things. Thank you for sharing this with Tea Time. It's a pleasure to have you join me today. Wishing you a delightful week.

Blessings,
Sandi

Ah, I am so relaxed! This is so beautiful and I can almost smell the candle...even the notes of bergamot! You cup is so elegant and I love the teapot. I have always been drawn to cranberry glass but did not know much about it. This was so entertaining and taught me a lot.

I am new today and am so excited. I grew up with beautiful china and rejected it all. Now I am falling in love with these wonderful teacups! Do stop by and see my first cup ad saucer...very modest but charming to me!

Fondly,
Suz

I just found your blog...I really enjoyed my visit. I love pink roses and I have that same tea cup hidden up in a cabinet along with a few others. My Mom bought these for me when I was little, but this one was always my favorite. Thank you for reminding me that I have it. I have a rose image I plan to color in pinks in memory of my Mom...she LOVED pink roses too. I made a Mother's Day card in her memory a couple of years ago with blues, but I know she would have loved pinks. I think I'll use that teacup for inspiration and maybe include it in the picture when I post it.

BTW, I also have a bunch of cranberry glass I collected when I lived in NH and visiting Cape Cod...I also love the Lord with all my heart, all my soul, and all my mind...thank you for blessing me! Blessings to you! Kathy
