I would like to invite you today to have tea in the garden with me. The 'Wine & Roses' Weigela is blooming with intense rosy-pink flowers that are striking against the dark burgundy foliage.
Tea is being served in a beautiful Haviland & Co. Limoges teacup with a delicate floral pattern and gold scalloped edges. The markings on the bottom show to be from 1889.
Today I am enjoying Bavarian Wild Berry tea with the luscious and fruity flavors of blackberries, raspberries and blueberries. A perfect treat after working in the gardens.
The trumpet like flowers are adored by hummingbirds. I have seen several enjoying this shrub, but never with a camera in hand :-(
