Fleur de Lys

The Roses of Sharon are bursting in shades of pink.

I picked some blossoms to fill a pressed glass basket.

It adds some sparkle to the table ...

Tea today is served in a Fleur de Lys teacup.  In French, the symbol means 'Flower of the Lily'.  I adore the ruffled edges of the saucer.

This stoneware is so classy and elegant ...

So simple yet beautiful!

I'm enjoying a cup of rose petal tea.  It is one of my favorites :-)

I hope your weekend was filled with sweetness.

Lovely post, Donna! I like a plain white teacup such as yours. The Fleur de Lis is the perfect adornment. Rose petal tea sounds perfectly lovely too. Thank you for sharing and joining me for tea today. Have a wonderful week.

How beautiful these photographs are Donna!
Ours are purple and white, and I love the way the purple ones change colors as they begin to fade.

I hope you've had a wonderful beginning to your week.

Hi Donna: I always wanted to know what a Rose of Sharon looked like. It is beautiful. Did you know that one of the names God calls Himself is "The Rose of Sharon"? Thank you for sharing this beautiful flower and your lovely home. Blessings, Martha
