Fall is my favorite time of the year so living in the Northeast I truly get to enjoy it all. I don't know about you, but I can't get enough of this cooler weather. I love the rich colors of autumn, pumpkins and the sweet scent of chrysanthemums. If I had my way, I would make it last year-round!
Each year I tend to 'push the envelope' when it comes to autumn decorating. As soon as the calendar rolls over to September I'm already thinking about it. So please come in and make yourself at home as we welcome fall.
I've had my eye out for a vintage scale for a while now. Nothing seemed to be the look I wanted until I came across this one by Pelouze. I would date this piece around 1903 and it has a wonderful patina. Doesn't it look so vintage holding a bowl of pumpkins?
White pumpkins seem to have caught my eye this year. Do you favor white pumpkins or the traditional orange style?
I've mixed them to fill a Shabby Chic wrought iron basket. I love the farmhouse look with the chippy paint. As you can see I have quite a little punkin' patch growing ... lol.
A warty green and yellow gourd stands out from the crowd ...
This year I expanded on my love for mercury glass and decided to decorate the top of the entertainment center. The antique and champagne finishes create an enchanting display of light and reflection. The monotone color is perfect for the parlor.
While I was going through my boxes I came across some birch candles from last year. I knew right away they would add to the organic and natural appeal I was looking for.
I love the soft glow from the illuminated white lights. It adds a little sparkle!
A mercury glass bowl is a wonderful backdrop to a grouping of fresh white pumpkins. A crow adds a little eeriness to the vignette.
Simplicity with a little bling ...
I just adore this cream lantern with burlap and a berry wreath. Surrounded with white pumpkins gives it a classic look.
It has such a pretty top ...
An autumn scented candle to enjoy during dinner.
Yup, crows have found their way inside this year. These two have perched on my chandelier. My kitty Cheops isn't sure what to make of them :-)
A wreath with puffy, orange pods of Chinese lanterns hangs above my cooktop.
Pumpkin candles, Indian corn and a fall basket decorate the shelf in the kitchen.
These white dangling Chinese lanterns fill a silver pitcher and will look great until Thanksgiving.
I hope you have enjoyed some of my autumn decorations. Please do stop back to view my outside decor as the gazebo is ready for autumn. I will also have a simple craft project to share with you.

Beautiful photos, Donna. I love orange pumpkins, but love the shabby chic look, so the white pumpkins look terrific too.
Hugs,
Terry
I really love your decorating, Donna! The scale is wonderful and I love your lantern, wreath, white pumpkins and crows. You have really brought 'Fall' inside to enjoy with all of these beautiful touches. Can't wait to see your Gazebo!
White pumpkins are so pretty, it would be hard for me to choose between white or orange. I love them both! xx
Love the vintage look to your Fall decorating. I do that somewhat, too. Fall is my favorite time. I just bought a scale like yours at Brimfield this year and pumpkins would look great with it. Thanks for the neat ideas.
Great job Donna! Everything has a soft feeling! I like pumpkins of all colors but the white ones tend to be a bit more stylish! Your chandelier looks great and the crows add a nice fall touch! The lights add a nice touch with the mercury glass pumpkin! I'm still working on my fall accents. Fall is in the air here- temps are dipping at night- time for sweaters and jackets!
Donna,
Great job everything is so beautiful. I love the scale and the bridcage. Just beautiful pictures as always so soft.

What a gorgeous display, Donna--I love it all! You have inspired me with your creativity--what a great idea to put the gourds in a white wire basket--I forgot that I have one down in the craft room, so will haul it out and fill it up! I also love the crows in the chandelier.
gorgeous decorations Donna and fabulous pictures.
greetings karin
So pretty. You have some fabulous vignettes. Love the crow in the chandy and the scale with the pumpkins and corn. Gorgeous. Thanks for joining TTT. Hugs, Marty
I love your lantern It is so pretty and dainty and the berry wreath completes it perfectly. We don't get pumpkins here - only a few orange ones at Halloween for carving. The white ones are very nice. The crows add such a fun, quirky touch!
Donna what gorgeous pictures!
I have always preferred white pumpkins. I love all your beautiful Autumn loveliness:)))
Such a wonderful blog you have!
I've never seen a white pumpkin! I like mine baked with a little butter and hot paprika.
What a wonderful Autumn post!
I'm feeling the white pumpkins myself this year. I co hosted the Favorite things linky party and it's a pleasure to visit you. Linda

While I prefer orange pumpkins, the white ones look nice, too!

Wow Donna, fabulous decorations! I found you at What-About.co and enjoyed your fall decor so much I had to to follow you! Just beautiful.
lovely photos my friend. I really like the scale with the bowl of white pumpkins. I am looking for white and pale green Autumn decor this year because of the new kitchen and dining room colors. I prefer to move away from the traditional orange. Thank you for sharing at the Thursday Favorite Things blog hop . BIG hugs!!!
Very pretty fall decorating--love that lit up pumpkin!
