Little Amphibian

This scene was easy to create since all the coloring was done with sponges.  I enjoy my sponging ... lol.  On a piece of glossy white paper I stamped the Lakeside Cove image and Ledge in StazOn Stone Gray.  I knew I wanted to create a foggy scene so I stamped these images a shade lighter.

I stamped the Oak Branches, Leaf Springs and Reeds in StazOn Black so they appear to be closer to you in the scene.  The little frog is from a Stampin' Up set called Garden Pleasures.  He was also stamped in StazOn Black.

Next, I stamped Cloud Cumulus in Soft Sky both in the sky and the water so there would be a reflection.  Now for the fun part!

The background was sponged first in Adirondack Juniper in order to coat the paper and make the other colors easier to blend.  I also used Sage Shadow, Adirondack Denim, Tempting Turquoise and Night of Navy.  The edges were sponged with Handsome Hunter.

I made sure when sponging to avoid going over my frog as I wanted him to be a different shade of green.  He was colored with an Old Olive marker and Distressed Forest Moss.

To create the fog I used a cotton swab and ColorBox Frost White.  I applied this several times to the scene.  Highlights were added to the branches and reeds with an Inkssentials white gel pen.  I mounted the focal image to a piece of Handsome Hunter then onto an Aqua Marine metallic card.

My husband said it looks like a winter scene, but that really wasn't my intention.  Sometimes we just don't know how things are going to turn out.

Happy stamping my friends!  I hope I have inspired you with my Stampscapes scene.

Tell you sweet hubby there is no snow in the trees, it does look like mist in the early morn. Love the little frog, a nice unexpected touch.
