I created this homegrown radish card last month for my brother Paul. It reminds me of when we were little kids living on the farm. I went through the photo album and found a picture of us when we were very young and included it inside the card. He got a chuckle out of it. The colors for this card were inspired by the Stampin' Up Idea Catalog.
The Statement Ledger stamp by Red Lead Paper Works was stamped in Soft Suede on Naturals Ivory cardstock. I then cut a piece of Cajun Craze cardstock using the Spellbinders Labels Eight Die #3 followed by a smaller piece in Naturals Ivory. I sponged Crumb Cake on the Naturals Ivory piece to give it some texture.
Next, I stamped the radish on Naturals Ivory in StazOn Timber Brown and colored the image with a blender pen in Pear Pizzazz, Wild Wasabi, Ruby Red, Purely Pomegranate and Cherry Cobbler. I dabbed the roots with ColorBox Frost White.

The sentiment was stamped first on Marina Mist paper using VersaMark then Soft Suede ink and embossed with clear embossing powder and a heat gun. I punched out the sentiment using an oval punch. I stamped the sentiment a second time on More Mustard paper using the same ink and cut out homegrown. After layering the pieces together, I decided to cut another oval in Soft Suede using the Nesties Small Petite Ovals #1.
I added a piece of natural hemp twine and everything was assembled and mounted to a Desert Storm card (same color as Crumb Cake).
If you ever have any questions, please feel free to email me. Just because I think my directions make sense doesn't mean they really do. Many times I write these from memory and some days I am just burnt out!
A peek at the inside, which I left blank so I could write a note.

Hi Donna
This card with the photo you included is a cute idea.
I just finished another SU Christmas card workshop - at least I'm getting faster. We're going to learn about sponging at our regular class later this month, this effect you've shown before is quite nice.

Donna, this is so sweet and what amazing talent you possess. I used to make cards and I know the amount of work and patience it takes....also raw talent. Lovely.
