Refreshing Sweet Tea

Today I am joining Tea Time with some delicious 'sweet tea' as the Southerners would call it.  Who doesn't love it on a hot, sultry summer day?  It seems to quench your thirst like no other drink.  Please pull up a chair and grab a glass.

This graceful iced tea pitcher is perfect for the two of us.

The addition of fresh lemon with sprigs of mint from the garden make it even more refreshing ...

Ahh, sweet tea poured over ice ...

Now, please don't be confused as I am not from the south, but those Southerners sure know how to sweeten things up!

I always keep a pitcher in my refrigerator.  It never goes out of season at my house.  How about you?

The little wooden beverage tag from The Southern Living Collection makes a great hostess gift.  They come in a set of six finished with jute twine.  So cute!

Isn't this great for your summer table?  If you have any special iced tea recipes, please feel free to share them with me.  This week I am joining the following blog parties:

Yum! It sounds and look delish! I just read a tip about putting a smidge of baking soda in the pitcher before you put in the tea bags and boiling water. It's supposed to make it less bitter, I believe. Have a wonderful day!

Hugs,

Terry

That's perfect for today! We are in our 4th day of summer here in the Pacific Northwest...it may even hit 80! But don't hold your breath....

Hi Donna,
Iced tea sounds good to me right now as it is quite hot outside and it is beginning to heat up the house. We always keep iced tea in the refrigerator this time of year. Cute pitcher! Thank you for joining me for tea and enjoy your day.

Blessings,
Sandi

Hi Donna,
I'm from the north but I love sweet tea! My favorite is McDonalds with no ice so I can bring the big container home and sip all day!

Donna, I was thinking how sweet the 'sweet' tag was from the very start. I grew up having ice tea as my mother called it at home in the summer. Still enjoy a refreshing glass now and then. And yes, don't forget the lemons! Thanks for sharing with Share Your Cup.
Hugs,
