Silver Dollars ...

Hi everyone!

I just want to mention Tia at Old Fashioned Living has published my article about Growing and Decorating with Silver Dollars.  If you are interested in learning how to preserve these beautiful translucent disks, please click here to take a peek.  You may want to add these flowers to your spring wish list.

Silver Dollars make a lovely fall arrangement paired with grasses.  I've filled a basket with these dangling coins for the sunroom.

I hope you are finding a way to savor the remaining days of summer.  Thank you for stopping by!

Hi Donna, I've been loving the pictures of your garden, you have beautiful plants. I particularly liked your David Austin Roses. We have some in our garden too. We live about 40 miles from the David Austin Nursery, and they have acres of gardens where you can see(and smell) the roses in full bloom. Its a wonderful day out.
This plant today, Silver Dollars, is known as Honesty in the UK, and the tiny flowers it carries are usually purple, although there is a white, but not often seen, version. It is also known as 'the Money Plant', and the old saying is that if you can grow it successfully, you will never be short of money.
Hope you are well,
Shaz xx

I love the Money Plant! That is what my parents used to call them. My mother had them all around her house! They really bring back great memories! Thank you for sharing those great pictures, Donna!

Such a pretty light look for autumn, Donna. I am going with more ivory shades this year for outside and some for inside as well.

I love silver dollars and my late MIL grew them in her yard. I have some dried in a bouquet. Sadly, they've been mowed over and are gone now. Visiting from Home and Garden Thursday.

Congrats Donna! I have Silver Dollar plants. I have them in my garden and I adore their beautiful Spring blooms. I always save seed to scatter and give away. Next year I had better save some for decorating. Thanks for sharing with Share Your Cup.
