Winter Magic

I woke this morning to gently falling snow.  As I looked out the window I saw a pretty blanket of white.  There is nothing more still than a beautiful snowfall.  Everything just feels and looks so crisp and fresh.

If I didn't have to leave for work I would have made a snow angel, plopping myself down in the snow head to toe.  Instead I kicked up the snow with my boots while looking back to see the indentations of my footprints.  I even stuck my tongue out to catch a few flakes!

This is a glimpse of winter's beauty ...

Everything looks lovely covered with snow.
I made a snow angel a couple of years ago and then messed it up trying to get up. The neighbor came over and asked if I was alright. I said "why" and he said "I saw you shoveling snow and the next minute you were laying on the ground. I thought you were hurt". LOL

Lovely and serene, the virgin snow is a really beautiful backdrop for taking photos!

We are expecting our first snow in London on Friday, I might get some photo opportunities myself :-)

Good Morning Donna, Your photographs are beautiful and I love the unexpected splash of red berries, they made me smile. Are they Rose hips? Have a lovely, warm, day. Best Wishes Daphne

Gorgeous pictures, Donna. You have a lot of snow. Today it's up to 52 degrees F here--the warmest it's been for quite a while, but going down to freezing tonight. Hope to get out and take some pictures in the light! Sounds like you and are are going to be learning our cameras this year!
