Hi sweet blogging friends,
Is all this rain giving you the blues? Over the past couple of days the trees have really begun to bud and the birds are starting to nest. My magnolia tree should be the first to bloom. My card today features a beautiful digital image by Catherine Chavez from India Rose Vintage.
I started with a base card in Fresh Air and layered it with a piece of Baja Breeze. Another piece of Fresh Air was embossed using a Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder. Soft Sky seam binding was wrapped around with a triple loop bow. I couldn't resist adding a flat back white pearl.
This digital image was printed and cut out using a Spellbinders Small Classic Circles die and adhered to a scalloped circle in Baja Breeze. I added some Star Dust Stickles to the flowers and popped it up.
Thinking of you was stamped in Baja Breeze and embossed with clear embossing powder with a heat gun. It was cut out using the PTI banner die.
The inside sentiment was stamped on a Spellbinders Labels Eight #5 die. A few eggs were stamped and colored with a blender pen in Soft Sky & Tempting Turquoise. The speckles were done with a Close to Cocoa marker.
I also created a sticker for the back of the envelope using the same image. It was punched out with a 1 3/8" circle punch and put through my Xyron sticker maker.
Wishing you a bright and beautiful May Day! I hope to do quite a bit of crafting this weekend.

You make the prettiest bows! I adore the colors on this card. And anything natural, like a bird's nest, always gets a thumbs-up from me.
OH Donna, this is just stunning. I love the image of the nest and flowers and love how you created the little sticker for the envelope.
what a beautiful card in those pastel colours Donna.

I don't mind the rain, but I do mind the cold, and we're still having quite a bit of that. :-(
This is a wonderful card, Donna. Perfect for spring.
Have a great weekend!
This is so pretty and fresh!
I just love the colors you work with! So very beautiful! xo Jen
Hello Donna your note cards are most beautiful. Everyone is very unique and special. I would never in a million years have the patience to create your kind of art. Hugs Judy
Really lovely Donna, and the colours fit together beautifully. Thanks for sharing :-)
Hi Donna: What a beautiful May Day card--I love light blue and white together, and anything to do with birds, like the pretty nest and eggs you used, always makes me smile. Hope that the weather warms up for you soon. We've had a few days of very warm weather followed by stretches of rain--typical for around here for this time of year.
