"Summertime Rose" Sheltonian

Hello friends,

I'm happy to be joining tea time this week.  Please come for tea and relax as we browse the new Tea Time magazine.

It was a lovely weekend here in the Northeast and my Leucanthemum 'Becky' daisies are in full bloom.  This flower symbolizes purity, innocence, loyal love, patience and simplicity.  Daisies are often depicted in meadows in Medieval paintings.

Pretty pink roses burst in full color on this fine English bone china by Sheltonian of Staffordshire, England.  Buds waiting to bloom among the greenery add to the vibrant shades of light to dark pink roses.

“A rose must remain with the sun and the rain or its lovely promise won't come true.” ~ Ray Evans

A peek at the bottom of the cup.

Our vase is a beautiful Fenton Country Cranberry Coin Dot Basket with a crystal ribbon handle.

I am serving up some fresh sweet cherries from the local farmer’s market.  These mouthwatering plump and juicy cherries are perfect for a summer treat.

A new lace napkin and serving set from a local antique store.

Thank you for having tea with me.  I am linking this week with the following fabulous ladies:

Hi Donna
What I love about this teacup is how much tea it will hold! I like dainty for showing but bigger for actually drinking. The cherries have been good this year and the blueberries I picked were delicious - I ate quite a few while working away. :-)

Hi Donna,
Your teacup is so very pretty with its roses. I really love the shape of it too. I think we may have the same cranberry basket, with the clear ribbon handle; very lovely! The cherries look good too. Thank you for sharing your pretty tea with us at Tea Time and I wish you a delightful week.

Blessings,
Sandi

Hello Donna~ Thanks so much for visiting my blog. I was delighted to return the favor and see your wonderful post. Mmm, those cherries look delicious! Pretty cup too. I bet you will make a fabulous teaspoon card. I have slowly started to make cards, but my first love is 12"x12" scrapbook pages! LOL~ Cards have so little room! haha :) But, I am getting better at it. I really like making tea themed and Halloween cards.

ps. your cat is gorgeous~

I enjoyed your tea party. I call daisies butterfly landing pads because I always see butterflies flitting around and landing on them. Your teacup is a beauty.
