Sunflowers by the Garden

I have set an informal tea table today by my Black-eyed Susans and will be joining Bernideen for Tea in the Garden on Saturday.

The plate and napkin bloom with vibrant sunflowers perfect for a summer's day.  Our mug is from Lang in the Floral Bounty pattern by artist Ellen Stouffer.

Inspired by a traditional bee skep this Longaberger Bee Hive Basket is one of my favorites.  It sits on a table in my sunroom where the pewter honeybee tie-ons and carved bee-topped knob can be admired.

"A bee is never as busy as it seems; it's just that it can't buzz any slower." ~ Kin Hubbard

I love the beauty of sunflowers, the bright colors of birds and blooms and the sound of water trickling in the pond.  This week we have had some cooler nights and it was wonderful to have the windows open and to breathe in the fresh air.

So let us rejoice in the beauty of summer!

Very pretty Donna and I LOVE that bee basket. The whole setup is lovely but the basket stands out as does the BES's.
