Late Spring Pinks & Purples

Hi everyone,

I hope you had a nice weekend.  I was able to spend most of Sunday in the garden and then we had a cookout.  The gardens are bursting with color.  Are you ready for a stroll?  I hope you like pinks and purples!

Ahhh, here we have some allium.  'Gladiator' is the first with its lavender blue florets.

Who would have thought onions could be so beautiful!

'Cristophii' with its silvery amethyst flowers seem too big to be real.

Irises are abundant in so many different shades of purple.

Pansies can always be found popping up.

The 'Bridal Wreath' Spirea is cascading with tiny white flowers.

Oh look, we have a friend who would like to join us!

Last year I added a few more hostas to the shade garden.  The ferns are doing fantastic with all the rain we have had.

Salvia 'May Night' with its purple spikes

Shall we take a walk over to the pond?

The Geranium 'New Hampshire Purple' has really spread and is so dependable.

Thank you for strolling with me today.  Soon the rain will stop and the sun will be shining brightly.

Lovely purple blossoms in your garden! I wish we had better weather now so I could grow such beauties too :)
You've got many animals there, so nice to see nature around us, isn't it?
Have a wonderful day!

Everything looks lovely, Donna. Purple is the prettiest color in the garden, I think. Love those little 'visitors', too. xoxo

Donna everything looks so pretty! Alliums are such a neat flower to see. I lost one stem to the frost of one of mine. Speakinf of purple- I'm enjoying my lilacs and purple iris now. This spring seems to have the plants delayed over here. My peonies will be blooming soon too. Cute bunny! I think one ate 5 of my tulips this spring. I saw him in the back and then I noticed what was missing!

Morning Donna,
All your flowers are beautiful hon.
Just loved your post, and that cute lil bunny. My Mom had bridal wreath when I was a kid, and we used to use
those lil bouquets for our dolls bridal bouquets, such fun!
I wasn't totally sure if I had the name right. I might just have to check and see if I can find one at
a nursery. She lived in the fl. panhandle so don't know if they grow well this far south. I would love to have one myself.

Thanks for sharing your lovely flowers with us, flowers make my heart sing. They are just so amazing each and every one.

Blessings, Nellie

Your allium are beautiful, Donna. Mine have buds, but are not in bloom yet. After a few days of rain, it's about to be sunny and nice here for the weekend--hope you have sun, too!

Hi Donna,
Your flowers are really lovely and the purples so vibrant! I enjoyed seeing Mr. Frog too. We had a bunny munching in our garden out back the other day. He looked a lot like yours. Love the critters! Thanks for sharing and have a lovely week.
